Our BPPU plates feature a stainless-steel chrome-plated core. This not only maintains the integrity and durability of the plate, but it allows your plates to easily slide on and off your Olympic bar with minimal friction on the sleeves. The raised poly urethane on the outer edge of this steel core, as well as on the edge of the plate to prevent any direct-metal-to-metal contact when loaded on the bar or onto a storage rack peg.
