Customer reviewsMeh...ok for beginners and short people
Expect to get what you pay for. I know this is a home gym piece and not made to model Cybex or Hoist equipment. With that said, there are a few issues I find awful about this machine. 1 It is very, very awkward to set up and use as a leg curl machine. You have to make all the adjustments pin swap, weight, seat back, etc before getting into place, then you have to adjust the pads after getting in place. The top pads that brace your quads just above the knee have to come off completely. For me, there is no comfort zone setting, meaning the holes to set the desired height are spaced too far apart. Maybe I just have really skinny legs just above the knee. I don t know. If I try to set it on the best setting based on watching the instructional videos from Valor, the metal adjuster piece actually hits the bottom pad. See pictures . 2 You cannot get full range of motion on the leg curl if you are taller than 5 6. I m 5 8 and my feet hit the front base piece of the machine when trying to curl my legs under. 3 There is no tension in the movement until you are 3-4 inches into the leg curl. This is due to the counter balance of the weight. I thought adding more weight would help, and it did a little, but it was too much for me to curl a full rep.
